New Moon in Sagittarius: Iridescent Fire

IMG_6030.jpeg

This moon cycle, a wound is being purified *as* it's being opened. The astringent is truth and it burns, but in that way that lets you know it's clean. The New Moon in Sagittarius emphasizes darkness: like staring out at infinite potential condensed into a black hole. You're in a cosmic egg right now, as you rapidly crack open and realize there's a whole world outside the womb you’ve gotten so comfortable in (i.e., your traditional limits and boundaries).

It's time for a breakthrough over the next two weeks, and it might be the sort that has you realizing you've been in the wrong place this whole time and thinking of things all wrong. In a good way: you’re much more powerful than you thought. You're finally ready to take a deep breath, stop hitting your head against the wall and try a new plan, even if it sounds impossible or unlikely to work. With Uranus quincunx the new moon, there are lots of possibilities popping up, like mushrooms, even as others die away. You don't need to worry. You're spinning a web with strands from the universe and some will be nurtured and some will fall away. There's tension on these strands -- almost an irritability or inflammation, with the semisextile from Mars to the Moon, but it's getting you comfortable with being uncomfortable. This is important, because things are changing.

If you have anxiety come up right now or old trauma, you can feel grateful: it's only the phantom pain of a lost limb -- it can't hurt you. Actually it's here to help. There's still gunk in there that needs to be debrided and why not do it quickly, like ripping off a bandaid. With this new moon, you have a few things aiding you to free you life.

Your tools:

  1. A trine to Chiron that rapidly accelerates the healing process by lancing the boil and dealing with what you got.

  2. A quincunx to Uranus that forces endings on an emotional situation and releases you from a great restriction.

  3. A semisextile to Mars that causes irritation to get you to notice where the wound is and get you started investigating.

Crack it open and let yourself out.

xoxo,

Hayley
