Let me start by saying that this is not the “ideal” constellation of events. But that’s ok—lots of flowers bloom out of shit and manure is a rather appropriate symbol for Taurus season. This arrangement of planets is still very powerful, however, and it can actually help bring into balance what may have shifted out. This New Moon in Taurus is a time to reclaim what’s been lost and restore your self-worth (v v Taurus concept). This transit is about acquisition—what is yours and overwhelmingly it’s about identifying what belongs to you and returning it to its rightful owner through magnetic inaction. You’re a mega-attractor right now and like a stormy voltage, the path of least resistance is being activated and lightning’s about to strike.

If this were a Full Moon, I would see it more bleakly, but luckily it’s NOT. Since it’s a New Moon, what’s happening is like an explosion in reverse—you’re going to get down to the kernel of what’s been going on inside that made the external what it is. This period is like an egg: you are growing on a huge level to meet your destiny. It’s a quiet time where a lot happens. New Moons are like baths: they’re about renewal, fresh starts, clean slates, and since this one’s like a goddamn bath bomb, go ahead and throw-in instantaneous combustion. The pressure building up right now is meant to be released slowly over time, but like most science experiments, your revelation might come about unexpectedly and all at once. It’s important to know that the pressure you’re up against can feel intolerable in the moment but with perseverance, you can emerge from the egg, however exhausted you may be.

Saturn and Uranus are affecting the New Moon in conflicting ways, which can lead to breakthroughs, losses, and rapid gains all at the same time. Saturn brings justice, but often in a very terse way, particularly with the square aspect. Saturn doesn’t communicate in warm fuzzies but he does sort out the wheat from the chaff and the bullshit from the truth. Uranus loves to shock and disrupt and REBEL from the current trajectory. You’re ready to see the truth of something that has seemed almost mythic to you. A Wizard of Oz moment is forcing you to question the powers that be in your life and take the reins after a hiccup disrupts the normal course of events. These planets can come up to indicate that you might be reprimanded by someone who you respect or feel all eyes on you because of a mistake you feel you’ve made. It’s all part of the process and it’s the natural shitlike slap in the face that can pull you out of a funk and remember who you are. You’ve been holding back and didn’t know it. Power is always holographic between us: you need to take it back and ignore the evidence that you don’t deserve it.

With the New Moon in Taurus sextile the Nodes, things feel larger than life and pregnant with meaning right now. We’re in a pressure cooker, where any outside element can push the tension over the edge and clear the air for good, even while it ruins our perfect lil’ reality. The challenge here is to accommodate this pressure and slowly chip away at what is changing. You’re in a liminal space before sunrise where everything looks hazy. Like a cell silently dividing, you’re returning to your most natural state (Taurus) after a period of wild disruption (Uranus).
