Full Blue Moon in Taurus - Fire Walk With Me

Well, I’m going to be honest. I wrote in the IndyMaven column that this was going to be one of coziest, sweetest full moons of the year but it has come to my attention that I was completely mistaken and a little naive. The Full Moon in Taurus is actually a pretty powerful and unstable influence, particularly in the mess of 2020. This is a turning point month for a lot of us, and it signals a change in pace and direction that will likely continue long into 2021. The signal is here and you’re heeding the path to progress.

We have Uranus on deck, indicating there is a surprise on its way and a lightning bolt out of the blue that’s designed to free you from whatever human bondage you’ve been exposing yourself to out of habit. This isn’t your fault, but a serious layer of buildup has formed on your life and it’s starting to block your movement and delay your growth. It’s been subtle enough that you haven’t noticed, but you’re realizing something truly messed up, un-undoable, or egregious is happening that you’ve allowed or gotten used to. You’re dealing with “big energies” right now and being pushed into leveling up. Expect a watershed moment where you realize your worth and what you want. In some ways, this is still a sweet full moon, but it’s unexpectedly destabilizing (Uranus in a nutshell), so it’s likely not going to feel comfortable and it’s going to have unforeseen results. 

The Full Moon in Taurus is on the bedrock of Scorpio season, and the stubborn, cold reality of the fixed signs involved creates a fulcrum to twist events out of control. In many ways it’s like a speeding car: the faster you’re going, the more a tiny shift in circumstances can cause major damage. You are running particularly roughshod with the catalyzing effects of Halloween, as it’s nature’s halfway point between the autumnal equinox and the winter solstice. There is a pattern you’re noticing and time and space have slowed down enough for you to have the chance to do things differently and change it before it becomes unrecognizable. You have the time now to make a snap decision that can prevent problems or even devastation. 

The veil is thin right now, bbs. With Samhain being a threshold day where there is a before and after, you have access to the otherworld™ and the betwixt and between space. You’re between manifesting and having it all and it’s time to trust and more deeply engage with reality. With the extreme (but also positive) aspects from Uranus creating pressure and voltage, there is something being illuminated that you would have normally overlooked. It’s a second pass over the same information which will give you the opportunity to make a different decision than you otherwise would. A sudden reveal clarifies what has been murky and gives the gift of understanding. This is a time for sudden insights out of the quotidian and staring out into the darkness. You’re safe in the light of the fire.
