Summer of the Swans: New Moon Solstice Solar Eclipse in Cancer

The birthday party for 2020 is on Sunday, June 21, as the Summer Solstice breaks through the traditional emotional landscape we bear witness to every day and lets in the light in a sudden fiery ring. I have unofficially designated this year a Cancer with Aquarius rising lol. The watery influences in the stars right now are causing cosmic condensation that’s giving you a push to act and initiate changes that have been incubating for years. This moon finds you at the apex of a dream’s gestation: it’s time to act and you are ready to deal with the consequences. You are divinely protected during this eclipse cycle.

Think back, what other sentinel events occurred that year that sent a ripple through the world and made us look for nurturing, comfort, family and caused us to beef up our defenses. This New Moon occurs at the Aries point of Cancer, which is the 0 degree point on all Cardinal signs that ushers in initiations and beginnings. Like the corona of an eclipse, this time elucidates the bright seam on reality and pushes you to see how light always breaks through to expose the truth out of obscurity. In the spirit of Cancerian motherhood, you’re discovering a crack in time that is ushering in a parallel universe, right on time.

You are entering a new cycle—one that starts fresh with the cooling balm of the new moon on the longest day of the year.  The perfection of this moment won’t be lost on you.
